A Church with accountability but not legalism

Jesus required accountable relationships when he told His disciples to go and make new disciples “teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20). Husband of one wife?

Some believe (on cultural grounds) that it was forbidding polygamy.
The Catholic view (in support of their practice of celibacy for the priesthood), understands it as requiring marriage to the Church.
