Question of the day?

A new item on Wisdomforlife

I am honored to have many readers and, based on feedback, I am certain that I can learn from them! So I’ve decided to start something new and see how it goes.

I will post a question each Friday for input and discussion. I’ll try to chime in but my feedback might have to wait for Monday because (as a pastor) weekends tend to be a bit busy for me.

Let’s get started!

Question: When God rejected the worship of people who come near to him with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but whose hearts are far from him, what did he mean when he said: “Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.” (Isaiah 29:13, quoted by Jesus in Matthew 15:9)? And where do we see this same kind of worship today? (OK, that was two questions).
